4. medicare needs some serious revamping

to be truly beneficial to the masses. Number 1....medicare is not free.....number 2...prescription coverage is an extra $111 per month and does not cover you after you hit the 'donut hole' (which means having to spend $4000 out of pocket on meds until your coverage kicks back in - even though you are still paying the monthly premium). This donut hole means I will have less than 93 dollars a week to live on if I get my necessary meds.....that $93 is for EVERYTHING...lights...food...transportation....insurance for the vehicle.....any medical co-pay for doctors' visits.

Medicare is better than no insurance but, it could be a lot better.
