Retry Rod Blagojevich or Feed the Homeless?

What is the better use of our federal tax dollars?

1. Neither poll question works for me. My choices are, end the

wars, feed the homeless and retry Rod Blagojevich. But to be truthful even if we save a couple of bucks letting Blagojevich off, that saved federal tax dollars are not going to feed the homeless.

2. My guess the demand for a retrial is just bluster

on the part of a sore loser. Blago's political career is finished and quite possibly any other career he's suited for, they got a conviction on one count, and they need to cut their losses and move on.

It's not like they're creatures of such leisure that they can afford the time and effort to do this all again. They've accomplished what they set out to do by getting him out of office. The false information felony will just have to suffice while they think about going after other bad guys, preferably thieves on a grander scale like white collar fraudsters.

Sometimes a partial victory accomplishes the same thing a total one would have, less the three hots and a cot at the taxpayer's expense for an extended period.

The guy is ruined. Just move on.
