Alvin Greene (SC) definitely needs professional help
At the very least a psychiatrist, and definitely a lawyer. He was just indicted on charges of showing obscene photos to a SC student. When a reporter shows up to ask questions, he "howls" at them. Says he is staying in the Senate race. There is something very wrong with the Dem Primary election result, how could this man be elected.

1. I have always maintained that he shows signs of being mentally
challenged (mildly retarded). Nothing else explains his behavior and his military history in which both army and air force maintained he could not follow even the most basic of instructions.

2. That video is really wild.
I don't know if he came to the door in his underwear or if it was shorts, but no ligit candidate would every answer the door that way.

3. Yes... I find it very sad that someone close to him could not
somehow talk him out of continuing this devastating personal debacle.

4. From what I can tell, both his father and brother appear to support
his running for US senate.

6. Denial? or emblematic of our society's fixation on the 15 minutes
of fame?

5. The electronic voting machines are the likely culprit in producing the Greene Nomination...
Without any way to verify electronic vote tallies in S.C. you have to wonder if Greene's election was just a 'fluke.'

7. I find it nearly unbelievable that the Dem organizers refused to
seriously push for an investigation. They all but sold out the DEM candidate who requested the anomaly be examined.

11. I live in SC.
There was an investigation, which found no wrongdoing; however, it should be noted that the people doing the investigating were Republican elected officials.

There is no way I can vote for DeMint or Greene, so I'll either have to write in a candidate or vote 3rd party or stay home. Talk about feeling disenfranchised!

8. South Carolina's conscience is non existent.
Whoever put this poor man up to running for the Senate, whether it was giving him money, giving him the idea, rigging the voting machines - deserve the HOTTEST corners of hell.

9. Why vetting is important.
Surely the SC Dems were paying better attention than to let this happen. Did they think that the other candidate had things sewn up? Obviously, they didn't pay much attention to Alvin....until it was too late.

10. It also says that the Chair of SC Dem party made a statement after
the indictment which says he should resign.
