Prepare for some of the most intense muslim-bashing you have ever seen on the MSM around then. Expect idiotic questions like "why did they move it to that date this year?" or "why can't they just skip it?" or "why couldn't they move it to a different date?"

That is all.

1. It's a feast, right?
Maybe my friendly Muslim neighbor will invite me over for some chow!

2. It's often more of a community thing than a family thing

Check out your local mosque or Islamic center (if you're in a town without much of a Muslim population it may just be somebody's house) and they may well have a party that anybody can attend.

Muslims come from a lot of different regions, but they all have great food.

You might also make boocoo "good neighbor points" by bringing over some food after it's dark.

5. Oy
My dad used to say "I wish stupidity was painful", until I said "it is, just not to the person who's stupid."

6. That's the anniversary of the day in 2001 when Donald Rumsfeld
announced to the nation that the Pentagon could not account for $2.3 Trillion. We all know what happened the next day and Rumsfeld's announcement faded into history while our Congress continued to give the Pentagon billions and billions and billions more money to "lose".

But you won't hear any squawking about this amongst all the right-wind angst over this Muslim holiday ending on that day in this year.

7. Well, at least they missed Trumpets.
I wonder if there are any places where this eid does fall on the feast of trumpets.

8. My calendar says it's September 9-11 this year.
So the Friday in the middle is Eid. Things could get tricky in Jerusalem :(
