now at $63.17!
I guess we better get used to it.

1. It only went up 7 cents?
Anyway, why is it oil is 16 dollars cheaper than post-Katrina, yet gas is higher?

3. Prices have little to do with cost apart from the fact that they tend to be higher than cost...
... and even that is not a hard and fast rule.

I don't think we were supposed to notice this fact. I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason for it...like Mrs. Exxon has to redo the Palm Beach mansion! Well, it's been two years since it was last done, and she can't have one single more party there until EVERYTHING IS NEW! All her friends have SEEN the old furniture and draperies, after all.

2. gas around here went up $0.10 last thursday and another 0.10 today
for a whooping total of $3.35999

It was $2.4699 less than two months ago

5. I understand how gas mego co.'s have to buy foreign oil, but
what about the oil that they own? Do they pay themselves for the barrels they get out of the ground? And then pay themselves again for controlling refining function? How exactly do you make billions of dollars of a gallon of gas/ or litre of petrol... depending on where you live.
