Fermi's Paradox and Gay Marriage
Fermi's Paradox:
If there were aliens, we would know by now.

Gay Marriage destroys traditional marriage:
If there were ruined marriages, we would know by now.

How come, NOBODY (no republican, no tea-partier, no christian extremist...) has come forward to FOX News and said:
"Those disgusting homos!
That couple in our neighborhood!
They are the reason why me and my wife no longer love each other!
They are the reason for our divorce!
They perverted the minds of my children and turned them into (insert something bad, like a tolerant liberal)!"

If married gay couples mean the end of civilization, how come, there are no victims?
Gay Marriage is legal in other countries. Where are the ruined lives?

1. Don't you know?
The only reason to get married is simply because gays can't! Every hetero marriage is nothing more than one big homo taunt!

2. Maybe it's the aliens who are destroying straight marriages?
If only someone would discover the truth of this, not only might we save all those straight marriages, but we could also answer Fermi's Paradox!

;-)

3. The destroyed marriages are hundreds of thousands of light-years away.
Earthling ones are safe.

4. There are people who say such things.
Just because they're wrong about their facts doesn't keep them from saying stuff like that.

5. the only way "gay marriage destroys a 'traditional' marriage" is when
one of spouses in the 'traditional' marriage decides that they're really gay after all and bolts for gaydom, knowing that a gay marriage is now legal.

so, when a married right-winger whinges about gay marriage destroying 'traditional' marriage, are they worried about themselves or their spouse being secretly gay?

7. Groan! Old joke! Try this one...
What's all this fuss over same sex marriage? When you get married, it's always the same sex.

Ok, that one is old too. :hide:

I used to be against gay marriage. Until I found out it wasn't mandatory.
