Emma Thompson got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, in an appropriately British location -- outside the Pig 'n' Whistle pub, est. 1927.
Joining the Oscar winner on Hollywood Boulevard as star No. 2,416 was unveiled were her "Nanny McPhee Returns" costar Maggie Gyllenhaal and "House, M.D." star Hugh Laurie, a friend since their Cambridge days.

Mark Wahlberg put dibs on star No. 2,414 last week, and on Thursday, Mexican singer Marco Antonio Solis, a multiple Latin Grammy winner, snagged star No. 2,415 in the recording category, with L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in attendance.
