1. I sure hope this isn't the new normal
If this is, can we continue to give huge amounts of aid around the world? Can we just continue to wage war and give money to corporations while already being broke?
Would five more years like this do us all in or would we be able to continue spending as we are indefinitely?

2. K&R It's been very disturbing coming across all these stories
I have international news at my place (CNN International, BBC World and Al Jazeera English) and something new like this comes up every hour. Very very worrisome!

Whether or not they'll be taken seriously if they say anything is another matter.

9. Because nobody else did for a few hours and I thought it deserved an answer

You see, the way things work on a discussion forum is that it's open to everyone to get involved. If someone feels like answering a question that's posed, that's their prerogative.

10. I think I've got it.
If someone asks you a specific question about something you had written, and you're away from your computer for a few hours, it would be ok if I choose to speak for you, however I see fit.
Thanks for the lesson. The internets are so confusing.

11. There are no hard and fast rules about who can answer questions that are put forward
Edited on Sun Aug-08-10 04:31 PM by Turborama
You seem upset that someone other than the OP answered your question, don't be. You know it wasn't an honest question and it got the response it deserved. That is all.

Also, in case you hadn't noticed, all those threads referred to in the OP were started by me, apart from the last one with the photos.

14. You honestly asked if skeptics can look, too?
Ok, let me put it another way. It was a disingenuous question.

Glad to hear you're not upset.

If it were ga-lobal WARM-ing, it'd be sunny and hawt! :sarcasm:

Yes, the deniers would say that. They truly don't (or won't) understand that global warming is global climate CHANGE of all sorts. And there ain't no telling them otherwise, neither. :eyes:
