Are your local fundie churches having creationism themed Vacation Bible Schools?

I've seen posters for at least three Creationism-themed Vacation Bible Schools put on by various fundie churches in my area, one sponsored by answeringenesis.com.

2. Vacation Bible Schools are almost as old as a lot of the

churches. Not just the fundies but a lot of more mainstream protestant denominations as well. In my childhood, pre-enlightenment days, I attended several of them.

In my not that fundie church it was more or less a day camp with bible based crafts, stories and the like.

6. Yeah I went to one put on by my mom's ELCA church...

Al we did was make crosses out of popscicle sticks, Drink Kool-Aid, and sing "Zaccheus was a Wee Little Man"

5. There was a group visiting the zoo

a few weeks ago we were at the zoo and a group was wearing "camp creation" t-shirts. My two-year-old corrected one lady when she called a chimp a "monkey." Usually that sort of thing embarrasses the daylights out of me, but this time I took the opportunity to explain to my children that we had common ancestors with the chimpanzees, who share a lot of common dna with us humans, but that we didn't descend from them or them from us, but from a common ancestor that was different from us both. So we are like cousins.
