1. It may mean something in Novemeber....
We don't know yet.

If Republican/Conservatives get out to vote in larger numbers because they are more driven to remove everything even remotely centrist or liberal than office, it could mean a lot.

We are have a Democratic Republic elected by a majority of those who bother to vote.

5. a vote is a vote whether it's cast with enthusiasm or not
an R voter can be raving mad when they vote, it still just counts for one vote.
