Dennis Kucinich cleaned his, and all the other candidates, collective clocks. He owned the debate and the crowd. While most of the others played their parts with the usual evasions and platitudes he spoke to the audience and they loved him for it. Watch it for yourself.
The assassination: The next day there was little in the media on the actual debate, but a four-wall campaign of "opinion pieces" against him and his ideas dominated the news and ABC went so far as to photoshop him out of their front page picture on their website.
In the following debate mediated by George Stephanopolis, he was not even given an opportunity to answer a question until 35 minutes in, well after the largest numbers of viewers had turned it off.
There is much more, but I think these examples are sufficient to illustrate a concerted effort on the part of the media (or the corporations that own it) to silence and twist his candidacy.
