So the PGA Tour is at Greenbrier playing the old course...
All the coverage besides golf is about the beauty of the Appalachian mountains, how it is a great place to visit and tour. How the tournament is helping to raise money for charity, specifically to help miner's families who lost loved ones in the 'accidental' explosion at the Massey mine. The Congressional bunker at Greenbrier that was part of the continuity of government plans.

I'm mentioning this because I'm pretty sure that the audience is not really aware of the mining practices ongoing in the region. I'm pretty certain they are unaware of the impunity with which Massey Energy violates State and Federal mining safety regulations. I'm pretty certain they are unaware of Mountain Top Removal / Valley Fill practices.

I'm sure the new owner of the Grand Lady Greenbrier, Mr. Justice, might be able to help with fighting this blight if he is serious in maintaining the natural beauty that his property uses to draw the upscale to his playground.

How can we get him involved?

2. Yes indeed they are playing as we speak.
They will be on the network this afternoon. They play the third round today and the final round tomorrow.

I'll probably be out on the range with one of my boys later on.

Edit to be clear, I'm at home in Fredneck, *not* at the Greenbrier.

7. The PGA is a big move of the renovated Greenbriar- they are building a casino
they got some special ruling to allow a casino in WV- I think you have to pay a cover , they call it a "membership", in order to pay.

It is not surprising that the PGA would be used for purposes like you mentioned. The PGA is rightwing land in the sports world.

It really is good for the area. I know that the marble cutting contractors are living there but are spooked by the locals.

8. Which is why I would like to get the message into the PGATour fandom
I wonder what will happen when the mountain views are flat? When there's no more potable water coming from the mountain springs.

9. Those mountains aren't going to be touched
maybe the ones right behind them but much like other places they aren't going to bite the hand that feeds.... not that it really feeds the locals.
