Suspect smashes sprinkler, soaks police station.

Modesto police are wading through the damage from a flood at the downtown station after a suspect broke a sprinkler.

Police say 33-year-old Joseph McHenry was in a second-floor interrogation room Wednesday evening when he smashed a sprinkler, sending 350 gallons of water per minute gushing from the ceiling. The water seeped through the floor and soaked the workstations below.

1. I used to work on sprinkler systems

At my old factory, once there was a drop in water pressure then a 50 horsepower motor kicked in pushing a lot of water through the system.


Jeez, they better get a lot of buckets. And put a sturdier cage around the sprinkler heads.
