Democrats need to keep congress in session and vote on a jobs bill every day
One day loans to small business. The next day renewable energy credits. The next day public private partnerships. And on and on. We need to demonstrate to the country that republicans are uninterested and incapable of improving the jobs situation and they can't be trusted with control in any way shape or form. And no need to pound republicans as obstructionists. Just talk about how this bill will create jobs and hope and a future. Let the media fill the narrative about the negligence of the republicans.

Unemployment extensions should have operated on a trigger so that we could take this off the table as an issue. This needs to be done the next time around.

2. Of course they should. But they won't,
I'm sorry to say. I wish you were Senate Majority Leader, by gosh I really do.

3. I think they only have ONE day left in this session. Then
they go on vacation to campaaign for the month of August. I want them to threaten to delay the vacation until a bill passes that gives unemployment extensions to the 99ers and backs loans to small businesses. Harry cando that, and I hope he does.
