Fox News admits breakdown on Sherrod story
http://trueslant.com/charlesjohnson/2010/07/29/fox-news-admits-breakdown-on-sherrod-story/

"This is classic. The wingnut blogs are still ranting that Fox never aired a story about the Sherrod case until she had already resigned, pretending not to be aware that Fox did run stories on their websites, FoxNews.com and TheFoxNation.com.

Today Fox suit Michael Clemente admitted there was ‘a breakdown’.

The first mention of the Sherrod video, which surfaced on Monday, July19th on Andrew Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com, was made later that day on Bill O’Reilly’s 8 p.m. show. O’Reilly later apologized for how he characterized Sherrod."

3. Journalistic Due Dilligence...
I believe it's taught in Journalism 101. If you don't check your own facts, you aren't a journalist... you aren't a news agency... you're just a purveyor or rumor and innuendo. Fucks Gnus needs to go away.

5. But Fox wasn't the only outlet that ran with the story without checking it out

or contacting her--they were only the first.

So if she went after Fox, wouldn't she have to go after everyone?

6. I'm sure her attornies will send everyone involved a nice letter.
By registered mail, return receipt requested.

That's what a good attorney does, sue everyone involved, and let the court sort it all out.

8. I've yet to see a lawsuit that didn't cover all bases...
When you sue a doctor, you sue the hospital, the medical equipment company, the pharmaceutical company, anyone involved on even the most minute level. I expect her lawyer will hit everyone that aired the video and/or story from the Fuck Gnus perspective.

a local radio station (the judge said no) and the beer distributor (the judge said yes) were named?

10. Aw jeez? Really? Yeah, if that's the case...
Then that's the case.

I'm in the wrong biz... I should be a lawyer... eh... I couldn't do it.
