Will Bush Memoir Hurt Republicans?

Former Bush speechwriter Matt Latimer says many Republicans are "increasingly anxious" about the impact of the former President's upcoming memoir, Decision Points.

Some Republicans, "particularly those most closely tied to the Bush regime, actually argue the book could help the party by reminding some voters of what they liked about Bush. Still, that has not stopped some Republicans, traumatized over the last two election cycles, from fearing the worst."

:rofl:

Latimer notes "there is nothing that the Obama administration would like more than to re-lasso the GOP to the Bush years and, the Obama White House hopes, remind the country of why they turned to the Democrats in the first place."

The book doesn't come out until a week after the midterm elections, but many expect leaks from early copies ahead of actual voting.

2. It will likely be as sanitized as his arrest, DUI and military records were
before he ran for office. I doubt there will be a single word that doesn't inspire the GOP true believers and jingoistic idiots, if they bother to read it, which they won't.

5. You could be right, but Laura slipped up mightily in her book;
he might also, considering his IQ. Maybe that's what other rethugs are worried about.

4. If there is an ounce of truth in these memoirs, it would have to hurt the Reps.
And when you think of how much Bush thinks he did right, I would not doubt that he brags about some of his biggest boners.

13. God willing. I hope it not only hurts the GOP but puts a searing hole in their party.

I hope the shame of Bush's ineptness is so strong that they disband and crawl into their little holes not to be seen for ever more.

Unfortunately shame and conscience is something the Republicans do not know too well. They are used to doing things to this country without feeling the least bit of emotion.

But if there is any advice to W. it is this: forget the book, stop the speculations, divorce Laura, and take up with Condi. It is finally time to put that rumor to rest. We know who the true First Lady was in that White House. ;)

Borg for the money machine that controls the entire planet.

Create money from thin air.. then "rent" it to the starving masses for as much as you can get... and call it .... NAFTA.
