Boehner Warns of Unseemly Behavior
Now I wish I had a subscription to Roll Call..

Boehner Warns of Unseemly Behavior

"Washington is abuzz with rumors of late-night partying and of House Republicans inappropriately hanging out with female lobbyists," Roll Call notes.

"But not everyone was taken by surprise. Minority Leader John Boehner has been working behind the scenes to address the issue for at least the past year and a half. The Ohio Republican has had private conversations with several lawmakers asking them to curb their inappropriate behavior."

New York Post: "While there's no evidence of anything more than friendly flirtatious behavior, the lawmakers have been told to keep partying to a minimum in this midterm election year."

1. Well, at least they're "hanging out with female lobbyists"
And not their underage sons. Baby steps, you should forgive the expression.

13. Accept no substitutes
It may be interesting to see if any of this results in the sort of full-throated baying witch hunt we saw with, say, John Edwards (who was not an elected official and was not running for anything at the time the news of his affair broke). Will there be a separate standard for Republicans?

5. Hmm....wonder what some of the qualifications for these
Edited on Mon Jul-26-10 10:36 AM by MineralMan
lobbyists might be...

Maybe there's a "purity" test they have to take....

1. Would you be willing, in the course of your lobbying efforts to:

a. Engage in flirtatious behavior with balding, overweight Congressional members.
b. Engage in "intimate touching" of the same Congressional members.
c. Go to Second Base with said Congressional members.
d. Go to Third Base with said Congressional members.
e. Give it your all with said Congressional members.
f. All of the above.

Note: If answer is not "f," you may skip the rest of the test and exit through the double doors.

8. "Republicans inappropriately hanging out with female lobbyists"
who are the only ones willing to play with their little acorn dicks. That's why the GOP hates ACORN so much. It reminds them of their own shortage.

Hanging out? You wish.

They have no-show jobs. They show, say no, and go.

16. Depends on Bonehead's interpretation of "inappropriate"
From the recent spate of Republican sex scandals, it looks to me like their interpretation of "inappropriate" means
that once you have gone off with the hooker or underage kid of the same sex, their mantra is something like "that
shalt not behead or otherwise kill if there is any chance you might be caught before Election Day."

Everything else, to them, is appropriate.

20. I have a feeling that boner would like to be engaged in some seamie behavior
but ole orange head ain't gonna get any. Alcohol and cigarettes are a definite put off, not to mention the head on those shoulders of his being a real turn off.
