Bachmann: Subpoenas due when GOP regains House
Source: wire service

Bachmann says that when the Republicans regain the house they will start committee hearings and a flurry of subpoenas to investigate "all the nonsense that's been going on."

sounds pretty much like she wants another House UnAmerican Activities Committee .....she's

said this before....

this was said before a conference of GOP youth..........

sorry if this isn't LBN or is a dupe...........my blood was boiling......

accusatory language. So I'm sure he may have hurt some feelings, if not actually held anyone responsible for anyting.

6. All what nonsense? She planning on suing Republicans?
My all-caps email writing, horrible speller of a TeaBaggy cousin keeps saying that the Obama administration is breaking the law, that they are using illegal tactics to get things done, and that his whole presidency has been "radical" in some way... but when pressed, naturally he can't produce any evidence. Much like the rest of his lot, he's a great little parrot and water carrier, but he's clueless as to what he's talking about.

What the hell is this biotch talking about now? Are there actually any points, any reasons in this article? Or am I going to waste my time?

13. No, she didn't have any points, as usual
Just this:

ST. PAUL, Minn. - GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann is urging Republicans to investigate the Democratic agenda in Washington if the GOP wins a House majority in November.

In comments posted Thursday by a conservative blog, Bachmann says, "I think all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another and expose all the nonsense that has gone on."

The blog, Three Fingers of Politics, says Bachmann made the comments at the GOP Youth Convention in Washington.

Bachmann's campaign and congressional office didn't immediately respond to messages about the specifics of what Bachmann wants to investigate.

Democrat Tarryl Clark's campaign says Bachmann is promoting "baseless partisan witch hunts."

Figures that she thinks that's all they should spend their time doing -- not doing real work like creating legislation or anything, of course.

Thanks for the update... you took one for the team by wading through that fertilizer:)

This is the status quo: "Bachmann's campaign and congressional office didn't immediately respond to messages about the specifics of what Bachmann wants to investigate."

They don't need specifics when they can manage to whip their brainless followers to an evil froth without them.

If the Republicans regain the House it will be endless BS investigations just like when Clinton was President. They've said it many times already.

That's why everyone who cares about progressive principals should vote in ways that stop ANY Republican from winning and get as many progressives elected as possible. Even if you have to hold your nose. There is still work to be done and I don't want to spend another 2 years hearing about blow jobs.

In case you were thinking that if you play nice, the favor will be returned, how much more proof do you need. Do you want to rething Bush, Cheney and those judges?

A quick note for the election, that is one thing that got dems fired up and got you into office. As you can see, you can promise to go after people and instead decide to just change your mind and basically give them a pass to show that they were correct all along and committed no crimes. Nevertheless, even if you don't go after them, it still manages to get people fired up if you promise to.

39. Oh please.
The GOP went after Clinton for lying about cheating on his wife. A slimy thing for him to have done, but it hardly amounts to the laundry list of ACTUAL crimes that the Bush administration could/would be prosecuted for.

Most people with even half a brain could see what the GOP was doing - they were desperate to find SOMETHING, ANYTHING to bring Clinton down and that was the best they could come up with. It was a frivolous waste of time and taxpayer money.

Investigating and prosecuting one of the most criminal administrations ever for real, actual and despicable crimes is hardly the same thing, but it seems that we are creating a tradition in this country of letting crimes of previous administrations go unpunished. Apparently, SOME truly are above the law.

Start hearings on the GOP right now in advance of the elections. Sure, it will look political because it will be. But that wouldn't stop the Rethuglicans. There is no alternative left but to start playing just a nasty as they play.

29. No, they also promise to repeal things Obama has done,
like health care (and before some get too happy about that, do you really think the poor and uninsured people's needs will be met) and keep Bush's tax cuts for the wealthiest.

There's also impeachment and an investigation to prove Obama is not really a U.S. citizen.

In fact, their entire goal will be two more years of even worse obstruction while the rich get richer and working Americans lose everything.

31. We need more Dems in Congress like Alan Grayson
It's disappointing that the lion's share of our Democratic congressmen and women do not understand they need to stand firm and counter every irrational and unAmerican act of the repugs. Our Alan Graysons, Anthony Weiners, Barney Franks are few and far between. Pelosi and Harry Reid should have taken off the kid gloves when Pres. Obama took office and returned every cockamamie repug accusation and squashed it. They need to do this now when we're now in the heat of battle for the 2010 mid-term election. Otherwise liberals and progressives will see everything that HAS been accomplished undone by the despicable repug thugs like Bachmann.

The dems still have no idea that the rethuglicans, the tea party, white supremicist, faux neus, right wing whacko's, Beck, Limpballs, etc. have declared war on the Democratic party and O'bama. Unfortunately, when the dems wake up, they will fight back bringing hope and change to a gun fight. How sad.

35. Here's the actual audio! She said "I think that's ALL we should do."
She's completely insane. Not only do the rethugs obstruct any progress, they want to run non-stop investigations into Democrats. What a crazy loon.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has a plan for what the Republicans should do if they win control of the House of Representatives: Spend all their time investigating the Obama administration.

"Oh, I think that's all we should do," Bachmann told the Three Fingers of Politics website. "I think that all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another, and expose all the nonsense that has gone on. And it's very important when we come back that we have constitutional conservative leadership, because the American people's patience is about this big. So we have to make sure that we do what the people want us to do."

40. There is a reason for voter dissatisfaction but
It's because of the obstructionist, race-baiting rethuglicans who want to obstruct any of the government's necessary work that allowed the voter disgruntlement to take root. They have also mastered the art of deflection to pitch this as the Dems fault.

The Obama administration and Democratic leadership needs to pound this message home in non-stop tv & radio ads. Only with this kind of relentless effort can we solidly paint them with true colors of right wing hypocrisy, class warfare and race baiting.

The repugs are not a friend of the average American and we need to make that crystal clear. My wish is that the Dems grow a spine and punch the repugs figuratively square in the mouth everytime they spout their vicious bile. The repugs only understand that telling the Big Lie repeatedly sets perceptions and public opinion and they won't stop till it registers in the consciousness of people who only listen to Faux News and all of their surrogates, Limpballs, not-so-Breitbart, etc, etc. We have to fight fire with fire, not with verbal popguns.
