Poll question: What kind of parent are you?
I thought, given all the parental-related GD threads lately, this might be an interesting poll to post!

I figure I put in the effort when they were very young... I only need to expend a little energy now and then:) My one complaint about parents... negotiating with your kids is the single stupidest thing you can do.

7. Too high to answer this question
Maybe "good". Define "good". What difference does it make?

13. I financially aborted the kitties' food fund because I wanted a
New pair of running shoes, even though I don't need them. Oh, and some crack.

15. You're lucky that there's no law mandating that the kitties be informed of how you spend the money.
Otherwise they'd probably make abusive phone calls to you in the middle of the night telling you how to spend their money. They'd probably also scratch you in your sleep.

And rightfully proud of my son, indeed--a very smart young man of 13 1/2.
