Obama needs to take a lesson from JFK...
July 23, 1962:

Launching an attack on the opposition party, President Kennedy said at his news conference that "Republicans, by and large, with very few exceptions, have opposed every measure" pushed by his administration, such as Medicare. He promised that he would wage an aggressive campaign to defeat them in the November midterm elections.

He said the choice in November was clear: The American people could "anchor down" by voting Republican or "sail" by supporting Democrats. He also pledged that he would not strike back at Democrats who opposed his agenda — and there were plenty of them too — but he would only campaign on behalf of those who backed the administration and were being challenged by strong GOP candidates.

2. ''Anchor Down'' vs. ''Sail.''
President Kennedy knew his stuff, a brave man with brains, backbones and willpower. He had plenty of real world, first-hand experience. Having suffered significant wounds in combat, JFK continued to lead his crew. Can't think of any other president in the last century or so who could say the same.

3. I think there's one very important lesson that Obama has learned from JFK.
Don't upset the status quo and we won't kill your ass.

4. Um, that sounds almost verbatiam the same exact rhetoric Pres. Obama has been using for awhile.
There have been multiple speeches and addresses, very recent ones, where has he talked about Republicans opposing everything, and then he went on to use the "just got the car out of the ditch" analogy, which is almost identical to Kennedy's sailing analogy.

6. Embarassingly obvious attempt to sidestep my point...
You said Obama should learn a thing or 2 from JFK and then showed up some quotes. Then with faced with the fact that Obama has said exactly the things you are saying he should say, you froth off with a bunch of hyperbolic bullshit.
