"Grassroots" Rove-linked group funded almost entirely by billionaires
Now that's some grassroots.

Four of them, including three from Dallas, have put up 97 percent of the money for his new political operation

2. I'll have to remember what businesses these scumbags are involved in.

Public Storage Inc (Mini Storage Units)

Omni Hotels

Gold's Gym

These are the only ones I might have had anything to do with ... until now.

They really know how to waste money. They wasted over $600K smearing Harry Reid.
At least one of them gave serious money to the Swifties.

Piss on these scumbags.

3. this is what is wrong with our country,
that people like Karl Rove can still have traction and be backed by billionaires. You can bet your ass they aren't gonna be looking out for the little guy or small business either.

Gaud, we as a nation are so screwn.

4. Eisenhower's letter to his brotherEdgar Eisenhower in 1954
Now it is true that I believe this country is following a dangerous trend when it permits too great a degree of centralization of governmental functions. I oppose this--in some instances the fight is a rather desperate one. But to attain any success it is quite clear that the Federal government cannot avoid or escape responsibilities which the mass of the people firmly believe should be undertaken by it. The political processes of our country are such that if a rule of reason is not applied in this effort, we will lose everything--even to a possible and drastic change in the Constitution. This is what I mean by my constant insistence upon "moderation" in government. Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid.

6. Class Warfare without Class
They got theirs by screwing the little guy, now they want to make sure their predatory environment that allowed their becoming Billionaires remains unaltered.

Not to disparage Texans, but it is a deadbeat State and, like Florida, has become a haven for thousands of predatory scum that don't want to pay their fair share.

8. Smear Boat MFer
...• A company called Southwest Louisiana Land LLC donated $1 million to American Crossroads in June. It turns out Southwest, which doesn't have much of a public footprint, is owned by Dallas billionaire investor Harold Simmons -- no stranger to conservative causes. Since the 1980s, he has ponied up for everthing from Oliver North's defense fund, to Newt Gingrich's PAC, to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth in 2004, to the American Issues Project, a group that ran ads attempting to tie Obama to Bill Ayers in 2008 (Simmons was the sole funder of the Ayers effort, giving nearly $3 million.) Simmons is worth $4.5 billion....

What kind of person pays the likes of Karl Rove?
