Boston Globe editorial: Elizabeth Warren clear choice
Warren Is Clear Choice To Run New Consumer Agency

ONE OBVIOUS reason President Obama should pick Elizabeth Warren to lead the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau is that the new agency was her idea to begin with. Created as a unit of the Federal Reserve by the recent financial-reform bill, the agency will have the ability to set rules for credit cards, loans, and other financial “products’’ that banks and similar institutions offer to consumers. It needs a leader who has a passion for protecting consumer interests — and who recognizes that doing so contributes to the health of the financial system. Warren is easily the best candidate for the position.

Yeah, I know DU and the progressive blogs think this is a no brainer, but it's so rare that a mainstream editorial board echoes our sentiments, I thought I'd point it out.

Sorry in advance if this is a duplicate post. I couldn't find any on a search.

1. Yes it makes total sense, but not to the foxes
We need a conscientious individual who actually believes in serving the public (not like 95% of DC) in charge of this consumer organization. This individual will be the watch dog charged with protecting the hens (i.e average Americans) from the foxes (i.e. oligarchs, bankers and institutions). The one thing that really pisses off the foxes is when they must contend with a zealous watch dog.

If you ever watch CNBC the bias against average people and populism is astounding, especially when they discuss Elizabeth Warren. The business elite want to have free reign with the hens and they do not want oversight.
