For real? As I recall, in Jim Crow America, it was the blacks being lynched, not doing the lynching. If blacks had been indiscriminately tazing and shooting innocent people left and right, maybe you'd have a better case. For fucks sake, we're talking about the powerful versus the powerless. You seem to be suggesting that the poor widdle police men are powerless to threats like the little old granny having a toke before bedtime. They're not. And as for your first point, no. There's this little thing called Internal Affairs. And yes, IA is typically composed of LEO. They really wouldn't have a job if it didn't result in a successful sting once in a while. And the fact that we see so many instances of dirty cops even when they're working in such an atmosphere of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" should tell us that there's something very systemically wrong with law enforcement as it exists today.
