You know you're getting old when:
You really could care less about celebrity (Hollywood)types and are dying to hear news out of Las Vegas about the Netroots convention going on out there. Would love to be a fly on the wall listening to some of my favorite bloggers, how Madam Speakers speech went and all other tidbits of news. I'm sure someone must be blogging this but haven't seen much info on it...sigh. Anyone?

3. I knew I was getting old when none of the entertainment shows
on network TV had any elements I could relate to. "Friends?" Nobody I knew ever lived that well, especially in Manhattan. "Seinfeld?" The same. "Big Brother?" Oh, please, a bunch of whiny, backbiting yuppies turned wanna be media stars, I didn't make it to the first commercial break on that one. "Survivor?" Same damn yuppies ruining a beautiful natural setting by their constant carping. I became a total PBS snob until 4 years ago, when I finally joined the 20th century a century late and got a dish.

Now I stick to old movies, science, history, and a few really great offerings like "Drag Race."

However, I, too, would dearly love to know what's going on at the Netroots Convention.

6. I can relate. I do like TNT and USA however. NCIS, The Closer,
Burn Notice and White Collar (anything to do with crime, murder) is wonderful for entertainment for me...Hahaha... The stuff you mentioned I've never seen except "Friends" and "Seinfeld" and that was due to kids being at home. When The Food Network is your joy during the day, well, you just know...

8. Oh, "Burn Notice" is wonderful
I have to laugh at how far fetched the whole thing is, but anything with Sharon Gless sucks me right in. She's truly wonderful as the neurotic mother.

I'm completely over HGTV since they've become mostly house porn. I just want to strangle most of the clients who whine about walk in closets bigger than my bedroom not holding all Madame's damn shoes and the 3 car garage being inadequate to hold Monsieur's monster truck and sports toys.

13. Hate the show but Jeffrey Donovan is soooo dreamy
Seriously, I love his mouth. Something about his lips and jaw make me swoon. When he smiles I go all gaga. I do watch the show occasionally just to watch him.

Be still my heart!

15. I like my PM MSNBC, old movies, Family Guy (yes, I know, Fox but not Fox news),
and Comedy Central for Jon, Stephen, and Tosh.0. I also like HBO's Hung and Weeds and Showtime's United States of Tara and Nurse Jackie. Oh, yeah, and AMC's Mad Men.

Everytime I look for a history show, it's either about war or something religious. And the science shows only want to blow things up (I know there are good ones, but I never seem to catch them).

TCM is a godsend!

16. The History channels do have great things now and then
and I heartily recommend "Black Blizzard," about the Dust Bowl. It was outstanding. There have been great things about presidents, about regions, and ancient history. I do wish they'd bag the religious stuff, though, it's boring and usually done by hard core believers, making it crap as far as historical fact goes.

It's been joined by the Documentary Channel. Again, the fare can be spotty, but some of it is priceless.

I don't have the premium channels. They rarely have anything I'm particularly interested in.

about books. It's not a movie but there's so much there.
