I think the worst thing about Sarah Palin's tweet re the NYC mosque was its presumptuousness

and tackiness. It's just rude.

Sarah Palin expressing her views- and aiming them at New Yorkers- on how the mosque makes her feel has the same flavor as a total stranger going up to a woman who was raped nine years ago and telling her that she shouldn't let the rapist's family move into her neighborhood- because it "stabs" the stranger "in the heart." As if the woman who was raped doesn't already know how she feels about it. As if she might be taking requests or needing advice regarding the issue. And as if the stranger's feelings on the subject somehow matter more than the woman's- or even matter at all.

It's just the kind of thing that would get a nasty look from me- if I was a New Yorker.
