1. Crist has the 'du' blessing.
Arguing against him here has a weak reception.

Or so we are told.

3. At this point the race is between Rubio and Crist. Let's be real.
If it changes, then I'll happily vote for Meek, even if it is continuing political dynasties/nepotism which generally grosses me out. I didn't realize there was a loyalty oath on DU. My vote's my vote. I'd love if a Democrat won the FL senate seat but right now doesn't look like it's happening and I'll sure as hell take Crist over Rubio. I have tons of liberal friends who feel the same way. Sorry if that bothers you. Good luck on your quest.

4. I don't think it's a "DU blessing"
as much as a realization that Kendrick Meek is possibly the worst major-party candidate in a major US Senate race since the GOP ran Alan Schlesinger against Joe Lieberman and Ned Lamont in CT...or at-least no better of a candidate than that fruitbat Sharron Angle running in NV. I don't merely mean Meek has no support, I actually mean he looks like a deer in the headlights and can't stop tripping over himself long enough to actually campaign for this office.

Shitbag Crist is better than conceding the seat to Rubio. If I was a FL voter, I'd probably write-in "None of the above."

7. Kendrick Meek is Florida's Alvin Greene.
The man is absolutely unknown on Florida's west coast and panhandle. He won a congressional seat on his mommy's name. I have yet to see a Meek ad on TV, or heard one on the radio. Not one mailer. He's not running a campaign!

Right now is do or die time in Florida's primary. I got my absentee ballot two fucking weeks ago in the mail! How many have already returned them?

I agree. Shitbag Crist is better than Rubio.

There's also a couple of major upheavals happening behind the scenes in Florida congressional races. Watch out!

6. So, where did those voters go?
It is likely they went to undecided - which means that they are still in play and, in all likelihood, will either not vote, vote for Rubio or vote for Crist.

Only the first remotely could help Meek - and I don't think enough FL Republicans will stay home. They have two candidates who do appeal to them - which one depend on how conservative they are. (Consider the closest mirror image - 2006 CT. Democrats did shift between Lieberman/Lamont/undecided - but they sure did not give Sclesinger more of a chance. (Note the parallel - Republicans did not get a Republican - they got a Democrat (though labelled Republican) they disliked less than Lamont.)

8. The Tea-baggers are highly energized in Florida.
A good friend of mine went to a bagger sponsored congressional debate the other night. Just to videotape it. The party favorite barely escaped alive. And they were both trying to out teabag each other.

The inmates have taken over the asylum down here.
