Teenage clothing store starts new maternity line called LOVE 21
Forever 21, a trendy clothing store popular with teenage girls, is now selling maternity clothes.

The stores are located nationally and in the Bay area. The line is called Love 21.

Some say it sends the wrong message but Forever 21 says the love 21 maternity line is aimed at their older customers.

Forever 21 is launching the maternity line in Arizona, Alaska, California, Utah and Texas. It can also be found online.

I have shopped there and they rarely have clothes larger than petite size 8... maybe this is a way to introduce a plus size line without embarrassing anyone?

Anyhow I think its funny that this is a "controversy" i guess Maternity clothes should only be bought by thirty something business executives.

2. They're selling maternity wear to people who are already pregnant...
It's not like some 14-year old is going to say "Like, that's a really random pair of maternity pants. I think I'll, like, go get totally pregnant so I can, like, buy them."

I don't see the reason for the controversy either. Dog forbid pregnant teens or young adults have stylish clothes to wear.

3. I'd prefer they not get pregnant at all until they're physically, mentally, emotionally mature
enough to give a baby the kind of parenting it needs. Most HS age girls simply are not at that place in their lives. I guess the criticism is this is one more thing that normalizes teenage pregnancy in the minds of impressionable kids.
