What's worse: Righties trying to out-nut each other or fundy Christians out-Christianing each other?
Right wing lunatics (I know, it's redundant) are always trying to rise to even higher levels of insanity. There isn't one leader in the republican party to reign in the insanity within their once relatively normal political party.

Conservative Christians also try to out-Christian each other coming up with more and more insane attacks against our freedoms. Republican Sharron Angle said if a little girl gets raped the girl should be forced to keep the rapist's child. A Texas congressman wants the government to be able to seize children from their homes if their parents are gay. Providing a loving, nurturing home doesn't mean anything to these 'Christians' because they want to destroy families in the name of their 'god'.

Can you imagine if conservative Christians were successful in making the United States a theocracy, as they would love to see happen? If they were in charge we could just scrap our entire legal system because all laws would come from the Old Testament or the crazed interpretations from radical Christian extremists. We would have laws that allowed witches to be burned at the stake, invasive laws to tell us what we can't do in our bedrooms and government would be able to control our bodies. Are there any differences between the insanity of laws in countries controlled by fundamentalist Muslim extremists and the laws proposed by insane right wing US Christians?

When you combine a conservative extremist with fundamentalist Christian you get a person so radical and insane there's no telling what they would force on other people. I'm sure they would enact laws where thieves had their arms chopped off or others had their eyes ripped out. If our country was led by conservative Christian extremists it would become the most barbaric and hateful country on earth, even more radical than other theocracies. Even the Taliban and its ruthless punishments would look mild compared to the hate-inspired penalties Christian conservatives would create in the name of 'god'.

1. Let them
because with every hateful word they're marching themselves off to the lunatic fringe.

Back in the good old days in the 80s and part of the 90s, they were speaking in enough code to hide this stuff from everybody outside the cult.

They're right out there in the open now. People are responding and not in the way they anticipated.

3. I don't know how they can call themselves Christians
when they don't even talk about Christ anymore. Christ never talked about gays, but he talked all the time about helping the poor. How do you get to heaven? Christ said to get rid of your money. He said it several times. Lets face it, Christ was a liberal...he wasn't center-right or a corporatist. I think that's why they're trying to keep the Christ out of Christian.

20. Right, the only time Jesus got mad was at the money lenders...
If my memory is correct, the only time Jesus became furious was when he turned over tables of the money lenders who set up their shop in a temple. The money lenders were the 'big business' of their day and Jesus became furious at them.

Jesus was a complete liberal and would condemn all of the inhuman actions of right wingers and Christian extremists.

One thing I'm sure of. Whatever direction all the right wing conservative Christian extremists go in the afterlife, I want to go in the other direction. Spending an eternity with the evil likes of Bush, Cheney, Pat Robertson, right wing radio 'christians' and all the rest would be total hell.

25. Well, that was 'god', because Jesus wasn't born yet.
But god got really pissed because Eve ate an apple. Then god decided to punish all future innocent humans by injecting the evils of shame in them. And he is supposed to be a 'loving' god. If god was a human father, he would be arrested and thrown in prison for child abuse and child neglect.

26. No, it was Jesus
Matthew 21:18-22

Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately the tree withered.

When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?" they asked.

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

23. They are the same. Both are cults of radical, insane beliefs.
But when you combine conservative extremism with fundamentalist Christian extremism you get a mutant force which is against everything Jesus taught. I have no doubt that if Jesus returned he would be nailed to the cross again by the right wing extremists who profess to worship him. They would call him a socialist, communist and condemn him for hanging around with terrorists, murderers, thieves, prostitutes and the poor. And he would savagely attack him for giving food to the hungry, healing the sick and lifting the spirits of the downtrodden without charging them.

The mind of a right wing religious extremist is one filled with evil and void of compassion, empathy or any heart at all, in other words: fake Christians.

16. that kind of Christian I think is the "antichrist" & will close the Piscean Age
the description of the 12th House fits them perfectly. I prefer the sane "Red Letter" Christians, they will likely continue into the next Age, it's an interrim anyway, like the Age of Heroes was. I put people in strange categories but I try to make it an honest fit.
