Whats with the Pat Toomey banner ads?

I mean he's pro-life, pro guns, anti-gay marriage, and he seems to support neo-segregationist ideas like vouchers and charter schools.

Why would he want to campaign on DU? Does he just like wasting his donor's money?

Mr. Toomey, if you like wasting money, please send some to me and I will ensure its well-wasted for you.

1. DU is a political site
Unless you block ads, you get the political links that pay the most for rotation.

3. I get it that its a political site but we aren't exactly Toomey's demographic. It seems like

his campaign money would be better spent somewhere like Freep. I guess the old adage about "an idiot and his money" proves true though.

7. The way the system works...
Someone pays money to have their ad run, in a category such as "political". The more money they pay, the more sites their ad shows up on, regardless of the orientation.

2. It's a service

Some ones "sells" advertising for political organizations. DU and many others display what is sold. The purchaser doesn't specify which sites, and they aren't sold by political leanings. So your ad can show up on DailyKos, Raw Story, and DU as well as a whole host of right leaning sites.

As someone pointed out once, you probably out to click on the ones you DON'T like since there is probably a payment made to DU when that happens.

4. Just be glad that you don't live in PA.
He's filling the airwaves with attack ads ad nauseum.

We finally run Santorum out and now this possibly even bigger idiot shows up. He doesn't seem to have anything to say other than Joe Sestak is a bad person for various reasons.

I really hope that Mr. Sestak can maintain his momentum and return Toomey to the padded cell that he escaped from.
