I'm sure that in 1993 when President Clinton wanted to "move forward" past that scandal, there was no way he could envision that eight years later, cretins like Elliott Abrams, Richard Armitage, John Negroponte, Otto Reich and John Poindexter would end up back in government serving under another Bush administration. http://www3.niu.edu/~td0raf1/history468/Iran-Contra.htm">But that's exactly what happened. Why is it that so many people here either don't grasp or are too apathetic to keep President Obama and AG Holder alert to this historical precedent?! What's to stop a President Jeb Bush or a President Sarah Palin in 2013 or 2017 from hiring a Marc Grossman or a Karl Rove or a(God forbid his heart is still beating then) Dick Cheney into their administration unless the current administration that supposedly represents the will of the people brings these dark actors to justice?

Perhaps it's because they do represent the will of the people. Maybe not enough people really give a damn. But I take comfort in knowing there are some people who refuse to turn a blind eye, who will continue to shout loud and long that until justice is served we move nowhere at best, and at worst we set up a situation where the dark actors return and send our country backward. Thank you for being one of those people, mmonk.

Remember, many of the people involved with Iran-Contra were in the Nixon White House AND in the Bush regime. They just keep getting let off over and over and over again while they rape our country and take away our rights.
