The American construction worker, who was nabbed while on a solo mission to hunt down and kill Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden last month, had warned during his interrogation that there were hundreds like him waiting to kill bin Laden.
Gary Brooks Faulkner, 51, who was detained in northern Pakistan while trying to sneak into Afghanistan's Nooristan province claimed during his interrogation that he was on a one-man quest to find and decapitate bin Laden in revenge for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Faulkner, who has been dubbed "Rambo" and the "American Ninja," was arrested with night-vision goggles, a pistol, dagger and 40-inch sword that may have been intended for use on Osama.
According to The Daily Times, the American Rambo had told one of his Pakistani interrogators that he was not alone in his mission, but many others were also trying to catch the dreaded terror warlord.
"So there are others like you? Working freelance, trying to catch Bin Laden?" Faulkner was asked.
"Yes, hundreds of them. There are many bounty hunters who are in Pakistan and are actually involved in such missions, and I kind of agree with them. They are doing God's work," replied the Osama hunter, who was released a week after detention due to his deteriorating health condition.
"The inspiration was more important to me than the money. Money was not the primary motivation. I wanted bin Laden alive and brought to justice just like Saddam Hussain," said Faulkner, who is said to have been suffering from severe kidney ailments. (ANI)

I wanted to be an example for my countrymen: FaulknerSunday, July 18, 2010

Gary Faulkner dubbed as the ‘Bin Laden Hunter’ is a 52-year-old construction worker from Colorado. He was arrested when he was trying to cross the border into Nooristan in Afghanistan.
An Interior Ministry source, who had been part of the team which interrogated Faulkner, told me, “When we initially caught him, we thought he was a “Blackwater”, as he was wearing shalwar kameez, spoke a little bit of Urdu and Dari and was carrying a glock, night-vision goggles and a sword.”
On being arrested, he told FC officials “that I am here avenging the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks by killing Osama Bin Laden”.
Gary suffers from a unique kidney dialysis condition, much like his would-be catch Osama Bin Laden. What is more intriguing is that, Faulkner travelled to Pakistan seven times without being checked or cleared for security.
During the course, I learnt that Faulkner brought his glock, night-vision goggles and a sword from the US and diverted flights from Dubai. The question here is: where were the ASF and Custom officials? If that was not enough, after Faulkner was arrested, he was treated like a diplomat, which he was not... and the most disgusting part of the whole fiasco is that our law enforcement authorities did not book Faulkner for carrying illegal weapons or travelling to prohibited areas.
