All but one of these schools are private for profit "colleges", including one or two that look like the 99 cent store.

3. They are Indeed "Colleges" as You Put It

but most of them are not comparable to other public or private colleges. They don't really serve the same group of applicants as four-year colleges.

Any group that signs up for courses in office services and auto repair is bound to have a higher default rate than those with a legitimate college degree. Maybe these schools do not have the greatest coursework, but they exist because there's a need that no one else is filling.

has a robust automotive program. They also have firefighting. :shrug:
