Wasn't the Geithner disapproval of Warren nomination debunked
earlier today? I read here on DU that HuffPost's story, attributed to that famous anonymous source (IOW, speculation pulled directly from the reporter's ass)had been officially denied by somebody!

Are we going to go through primary season rumor freak-outs again?

An anonymous source isn't his/her name!

4. Considering the record, it's not hard to see why the story had credibility...

2. Well, here is Huffington Post's 'unimpeachable source', in their own words...
"Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has expressed opposition to the possible nomination of Elizabeth Warren to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, according to a source with knowledge of Geithner's views."

vs

"Given her strong leadership on consumer protection, Secretary Geithner believes that Elizabeth Warren is exceptionally well qualified to lead the new bureau, and, ultimately, that's a decision the president will have to make," Treasury spokesman Andrew Williams said."

I'd say it's been debunked for sure!

3. I think it's been rebunked since then.
If the result is an outpouring of support for Elizabeth Warren, and criticism for Geinther, then it really doesn't matter much.

7. I'm sorry, what?
Smearing Geithner with lies is okay with you, as long as it results in sloppy kisses for Elizabeth Warren?

8. Shocking, isn't it? More Warrens and less Geithners
I don't know if it's a lie or not - either way it's a just a cheap gossip piece that's easily denied and less easily verifiable. We express our displeasure and support here, but if this motivates people to contact the White House, then what it's based on doesn't matter.

9. There's that fucking retarded thinking Rahm so loves
You bet, contact the White House about an unsubstantiated lie about Tim Geithner. Bright idea. And then ask yourself why they don't listen to a fucking thing you have to say.
