those using Christianity as a cover for their own intolerance? I see no other religion bashed as blatantly as Christianity is here on DU. At least bash them all equally as all religions have their extremist factions. Believe it or not there are a good many DUers who are Christians, just as there are DUers of the other religions. Bash the Jewish religion and see the reaction you get....bash the Muslim and Islamic religions and see what reaction you get......it is not just Christian bashing that bothers me but the fact that Christianity is the choice religion to bash on DU.

14. Probably because Christianity is the mainstream religion in this country

and it makes life hellish for millions of people. It's injected into everything, most notably our public policies. No wonder there is so much resentment. If Islam was the majority religion and had the power to push regressive policies in the U.S. like the Christians do, then Islam would be the most-bashed religion here on DU.

Frankly the big three Abrahamic religions all cause too much pain and suffering to get respect. But it is a fact that Christianity is the dominant religion here, in this country, and that is where Bennet, and DU, are centered.
