9. I suppose we all need this caricature of a young

couple at this time to clear our minds of the unemployment, corporations who are killing our country, especially BP who has murdered our Gulf of Mexico, Tea parties, etc. but at the same time I feel it is time to back off a couple who didn't ask for all this attention. It was thrust upon them by McCain's "aides" who chose Bristol's mother to run for vice-president with John. I make no excuses for any of them, but it shows how badly we do need some kind of reform in elections. It has become a carnival. The couple got caught up in it just like a lot of people do. I am as guilty as anyone when it comes to ridiculing people like this and I am becoming ashamed of it because I have always been one who saw water in a half-full glass rather than half-empty. The media have kept this alive. They are as guilty as anyone involved. The are determined to keep it ongoing. They also are going to pit Repubs against Dems at every chance. In fact, sometimes I think the media are the rulers of our country. Just my two cents. To each his own.
