Poll question: Will your Congressman lose this fall ?
Edited on Tue Jul-13-10 07:01 PM by jaysunb
Since many of you have bought into the fantasy that the Repubs will take back the House this fall, tell us if YOUR representative will lose.

What I'd really like to know though,if yours is going to lose, what are you doing about it ?

five-term Dem incumbent in a district with a D+15 Cook rating. If he goes down, we're all doomed. :scared:

7. I'm not as worried as I was
considering my congressman's opponent is a teabagging wingnut who wants to drill off the coast of NJ. She was too conservative to get the endorsement (in the primaries) for the county GOP twice.

The establishment backed a self-funding hedge fund wife. I would have been more worried about her and her husband's deep pockets.

10. For 83 years this county was straight-ticket Dem
Until the pukes got a foothold on Raygun's coattails. Now it is 78% straight ticket puke.

14. Neither.
He's not running again. Though I expect his Democratic replacement to win. And hope he remembers that Vancouver isn't his entire fucking district (and thus panders to the right too much)

Leonard Boswell and Brad Zaun are neck and neck in the polls with some showing Zaun ahead. I might even vote for Zaun since I knew his son in high school.

18. Can't vote as mine, Zach Wamp is running for Gov., and I hope
he loses. Then I'm left with 3 dems in a primary and a boatload of batshit crazy running for the congressional seat on the repuke side. Needless to say, I hope that the repukes lose, bit I'm not holding my breath.

24. Rosa DeLauro won't lose. Our district is solid blue.
Our real contest will be for Senate and Governor. Linda McMahon v. Dick Blumenthal in the Senate race. We don't know yet who will be our Dem candidate for Gov. Ned Lamont is leading in the polls now over Dan Malloy, mayor of Stamford. Repukes have a 3 way race in the primary, all equally nauseating...

27. Democrat Ben Chandler will probably lose. ( KY 6th )
Voted for cap and trade and against health care reform. It should have been the other way around Ben if you were looking to appease the right in Kentucky. The stupidest two votes you have ever made. While I think cap & trade legislation a big step in the right direction, COAL is mined in Kentucky and Friends of (King) coal have a lot of money and power. The people were well represented by the vote on cap and trade but NOT REPRESENTED at all on HCR. I will never understand the idiocy of these two votes. His opponent is way far right with the appropriate mix of Jesus and tea and family and etc. to appeal to the sheeple. I will vote for Ben dispute what I said in a Ky forum posting prior to the HCR vote but it sure won't be with the relish I have had when I voted for him in EVERY other election in his life. He may end up with only one D Representative in Washington with John Yarmuth. The Senate seat Bunning is molting from is another story. Jack Conway may beat the headline grabbing machine of the carpetbagging Rand Paul but it is not a given. A ray of sunshine though in todays Lexington H/L it was reported that Paul gets 75% of his donations from outside KY while Conway gets 75% from in state. ... May we all live in interesting times. Peace Richard
