Me, the blender, the store, and the uninvited stickers.
So I go buy a blender at a very known, very busy retail store. I choose the product, get a piece of printed paper (invoice?) and get in line to pay. Besides the line is the stereos rack. While I wait, I check the stereos out. Then I notice a small sticker on the shelf. It says "VOTE FOR PARTY XYZ". Not actually. It says "READ THE BIBLE".

So, obviously somebody saw fit to use shelf space of a place that isn't theirs to peddle their propaganda. I find that rude. I took off the sticker. Thankfully, the adhesive wasn't that strong and the shelf remained clean.

Was that too "Monk" of my part?

2. Monk has his attributes. Propriety is (was?) one of them. I applaud
your actions.

But did you switch the covers on the political books?

3. No books there, it was a household-stuff store.
Fridges, stereos, furniture, stoves, telephones, cameras, things like that. What's the generic name for such a place?

5. The name "Best Buy" has suffered the Xerox effect? I didn't know that.
For what it's worth, this was the place: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casas_Bahia

8. Ah, you live in Brazil. A bit of information I didn't know.
Then it wouldn't have been Best Buy.

14. Funnily, I only "got" Triumph through memetic Internet osmosis.
Living in Brazil, I never watched the show he originated from.
