Surprise, Surprise....ABC News Poll - Obama Tanks

So here we have a fine example of "multi-channel" marketing a news story...

Here on DU there have been numerous posts on how disappointing Obama is and any defense (particularly snarky ones like mine) are met with aggressive URecs...and pointed personal attacks on the OPer.

Not only was the theme of how "Obama is screwing up the nation" very evident here on DU...but also across other message boards and forums.

Make no mistake...if you think ALL of this dissatisfaction is genuine and not astro-turfing then you are sadly mistaken. Multi-channel marketing happens and people pay big money to astro-turf news items. News items are queued and scheduled and promoted. Right now the battle is heating up for the 2010 midterms...there is a lot of money being spent to paint this administration in a poor light. The MSM is more than happy to facilitate it.

Frankly it should be the GOP who needs to be put under a microscope for their maneuverings they have done to create the gridlock and force the Democrat's natural tendency to cave under pressure.

All the power and money of the GOP is poised to destroy a Obama presidency at all costs.

I highly recommend taking stock in your own values and that of the Democratic party and the Obama presidency.

What does it really mean to you?

Find out and make the choice to support the Democrats this fall and to work hard to counter the spew from the right and their efforts to belittle and demonize all progressive, liberal and moderate democrats.

Is it more important to work to break down the Democratic Presidency and Democratic controlled congress or attack the Republicans?

Are we eating our own here...or are we really trying to effect policy by ensuring wide Democratic majorities with room for liberals and moderates...?

6. And they pay to post grouchiness on DU?
Any idea how many agents they have in place? Can I make a living doing this? Too much competition (and there is a lot of that now) drives down wages!

10. Yeah, 50% approval rating
I believe George W. Bush was still being reverently called the "popular war-time president" with approval numbers in the 30s before he eventually reached stasis at about 27% approval. But Obama is "tanking" now that his approval rating is "only" 50%.

Darn you, librul media! Darn you to heck!

7. Question
"Make no mistake...if you think ALL of this dissatisfaction is genuine and not astro-turfing then you are sadly mistaken."

What percentage is genuine and what percentage is astro-turfing, and what evidence to you have to support those percentages?
