1. Don't fret Trof
It will take a decade or 2 before the most toxic substances finally leach out of the landfill to pollute your drinking water. So Magnolia won't have to spend hundreds of millions on groundwater cleanup till then.

You may want to touch down with Erin Brockovich when you get a chance and get the lawsuits started.

2. Landfilling -- the corporate solution
The powers that be have decreed (without any EPA input apparently) that landfills are the solution to the problem. Never mind that there is not enough landfill space. Never mind that the oil will never break down or decompose once it is covered over in a landfill.

Once corporate America decides which method is best for their bottom line, even if it is done with mistaken economics, they carry it out with no cameras allowed. Wouldn't want the populace to find out and petition their government to do something different.

2nd UPDATE: One of my media friends guaranteed me no trucks with spill debris will pass through the gates Monday. I asked him how he did it. He said, I looked at the calendar, it is a holiday. Here’s my sign.

UPDATE:

You know what. It is time to take direct peaceful action. I am seriously thinking on picketing the facility. Monday morning 6AM.

I have read nothing about police guarding this Mississippi facility... What is with Alabama and its residents (no offense to you personally) allowing such blatant misuse of public employees?
