Who here gets Fox News but not MSNBC?
Edited on Tue Jul-13-10 01:55 AM by AzNick
I am trying to make a list of all cable and satellite operators which make Fox News available to the public, either as part of their entry-level package, or another optional package, but not MSNBC, or when MSNBC is available, for a package with a higher price.

I am seriously considering organizing a campaing pressuring these operators to make MSNBC available in every package when FOX News is availble.

If Fox News is entry level, then MSNBC should be as well.

Pressure would be done by simply cancelling or downgrading our subscriptions.

I am 100% convinced it can be done.

I need to know what service you've subscribed to, what package or subscription, also maybe what this costs you.

1. I have Charter cable. I have the highest package they have,
whichcosts $99.00/mo bt I think they have CNN, MSNBC & FOX all in their basic package, or at least extended basic. I believe their basic package is $29/mo & ext. basic is $35. Not uch diff. and everyone I know has at minimum the ext. basic.

BTW, that $99 inludes HD an extra cable box, & inside wire maint.

4. Have Dish HD. Basic HD has FoxNews.
Basic Non hi-def does not have FoxNews. MSNBC is in the upper tier no matter what.

When Logo, Planet Green, Bravo, National Geographic and Animal Planet went Hi-Def, we were given about a month of free access to them. MSNBC was blocked on the first day.

5. I don't subscribe to any cable TV at the moment
But I know for a fact that Comca$t's "Digital Economy" package - the lowest price they offer - has CNN and FAUX, but no MSNBC. They have refused to reply to my inquiries on this matter, but then they never answer my questions regarding their fraudulent billing practices either, so it's what I've come to expect from those filthy monopolistic bastards.

No MSNBC in HD (yet). They have the Faux business channel at like 200 something in the digital package.

10. U-Verse here
and I have both on their U-200 package. Rarely watch any TV beyond C-Span and perhaps a bit of the History Channel.

12. Just had to upgrade.
Last week MSNBC and my other preferred channels were suddenly blocked because comcast was making some digital changes (so said their screen crawl). I was left with the three broadcast networks, Fox and CNN. No History, no H&G, no Discovery, no movies, no Hallmark; couple dozen sports channels. And Golf. I called comcast and offered to trade all the sports channels and Golf for my few preferred channels; they declined my offer. So now I pay a bit more and they sent a box that will let the television pick up the non-Fox stuff. And even more sports channels that I will never watch.

Good luck on your quest. If you succeed, maybe you can go after the hospital next; their TV package is all Fox, a very lousy thing to do to sick people.

15. I've been in the hospital twice this year for cellulitis ...
... and they have a suck-azz TV service.

They carry CNN and Fox. Not MSNBC.

At home, I have Comcast cable. They carry ALL the NBC feeds, even MSNBC, so that's fine. I live in suburban Philly, so everybody has Comcast. The hospital is buying a non-Comcast feed.

Fortunately, they just installed a decent internet feed -- and the chronic infection that gives me cellulitis is well under control.
