1. I keep trying to tell everybody the man is in prison
and that prison is his own failing body, one that all his stolen money can't fix. There will be a well worn path between the bunker with his coffin in it and the cardiac unit of his hospital of choice for the rest of his rotten life.

End stage heart disease is terrifying. He's a cardiac cripple by now, unable to walk even a few steps without gasping for breath, even with oxygen.

He's afraid to live and afraid to die and that's a truly horrifying place to be.

2. That'a a profound observation
and I think you're right.
He's a cardiac cripple by now, unable to walk even a few steps without gasping for breath, even with oxygen

I've always thought that he does not value other people's lives because he doesn't think his bad health is linked to his own life choices.

4. That gives me a perverse pleasure
and I know it shouldn't, but, there it is. I hope that cockroach feels like he is being suffocated every miserable minute of the rest of his life.
He has wreaked havoc, death and destruction on others--who says there isn't a divine karma at work?

10. Yes, I've felt some guilt around being so happy about this
I'm a nurse and I know only too well that he is suffering. That is my cognitive glitch. I despise the man and want him in prison. I know that he will not go to prison because he is part of the moneyed elite. Therefore, I'm taking the karmic hit of appreciating his walking hell. I don't believe that God as I understand God, is a punishing tyrant. End stage cardiac disease is a punishing tyrant. It often is inflicted on the undeserving. This time it is being inflicted on a very deserving person.

12. His hell isn't the considerable physical suffering
it's the fear. He's got to know that his stolen money won't do a thing to fix him, only to prolong the rest of his rotten life as his body continues to fail. He's terrified of what's ahead and terrified to die.

A better man might be enlightened before his exit. I doubt Cheney has the capacity for that, although since I'm a bad Buddhist, I hope he has. After all, even bad Buddhists suspect he'll be back.

In any case, the worst curse I would issue in this case is that his stolen millions continue to provide him with the very best medical technology out there.

(Yeah, I was a nurse, worked in specialty units including cardiac)

5. Hyman Roth Cheney

He's been dying from the same heart attack for twenty years.

Come on Dick, do the right thing for once in your life.

6. Gasping for breath?
Kind of like being waterboarded? Karma, it's a good thing.

11. Much like being waterboarded, actually
Even the best medicine money can buy can't make this specific ending much easier. I wouldn't wish it on any but my worst enemy. I used to say I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but I've reconsidered in this case. He's not just my enemy and I can't speak for the hundreds of thousands, maybe millions who have suffered because of him but I personally have no problem with this ending for him.

Bush will go the way of early senile dementia so he won't suffer at all. His family will suffer greatly and while Pickles isn't exactly a great human nor are her offspring, they didn't commit the crimes Bush the Lesser did so his way of going isn't fair. I value fairness.
