XXXXXXXXX Church Local Outreach - Dental Clinic

Description

XXXXXXXX Church is partnering with the Anystate Dental Association to provide a free two-day comprehensive dental clinic for adults in the area. We are providing all the non-medical volunteers for this outreach which will provide dental services for approx. 2,000 people. All types of service opportunities and time slots are available. No previous experience required; only a willingness to serve others and demonstrate Christ’s love in action.

2. Organizing the people, taking health records and getting them to the dentist with the patient, etc
It's good work for a good cause.

6. I can see non-medical volunteers assisting with administrative functions. . .
Handing out medical forms and helping people fill them out, managing the waiting room (keeping it clean, helping people to check-in, keeping track of who's next), giving comfort to those who are on-edge (especially those who may have never been to a dentist before), providing translation services for non-English speakers. There's plenty for unskilled people to assist with in a community clinic setting, especially if it's being held somewhere other than a dental office.

7. Not to nit pick, but translation is a skill.
In a medical setting, a quite dandy one in fact.

8. And I'm certain people will deal with difficulties when dental care is offered free. . .
