Wisconsin GOP U.S. Senate candidate wants to outlaw homosexuality and pornography.

Ernest J. Pagels Jr. is a long shot contender for the Wisconsin GOP Senate primary, vying for the opportunity to run against Sen. Russ Feingold (D) this September. And perhaps there’s a reason. Pagels recently ran an ad on a local Milwaukee television station outlining what he plans fight for as one of Wisconsin’s two U.S. senators:

PAGELS: Hi my name is Ernest J. Pagels Jr., I’m a born again Christian, a U.S. veteran and a very conservative Republican. I’m running for U.S. Senate from the state of Wisconsin and if elected I will initiate a bill to outlaw homosexuality, abortion, and all forms of pornography. I think these are three ills that are plaguing our nation and bringing it down. And if elected, I will also initiate a bill for a Constitutional amendment which prohibits Congress and the President from spending more money than they bring in. My name is Ernest J. Pagels, Jr. and I hope you vote for me on September 14.

After reading this and many other things recently, I'm convinced we've been invaded by monsters from other planets. Cuz no "humans" with an ounce of "feeling" and decency would say such things. :banghead:

try to provide confirmation bias substantiations to those in denial as to what is "plaguing our nation and bringing it down."

Number one problem: The funneling of more and more money, (as the abstract symbol) and wealth, (as the tangible stuff) into a tight, small cabal of hands. This is even more obvious and applicable when you label your citizen as consumers and base an economy on making profit sacred above all else, i.e., life, lives, ecosystems, etc.

The willfully ignorant are easily distracted by moralistic, feeling-based rhetoric and, like a bad infomercial or manipulative commercial, the media-drunk clowns running for office know how to play that game.

Food is everywhere and people starve. We can play a game where we have run out of inches and therefore, can no longer measure anything. We have run out miles and so, no more travel, etc. Logically then, we have run out of "money" means ... well, you can see the results. Money is worthless in and of itself. It is a tool used as a means of exchange. Now, it is proving to be a powerful political and social tool that is, for one group, a means, not of empowering and providing, but controlling and prohibiting even the most basic needs.

The joke is on us, in that sense. Too bad the victims of the punch-line are still unaware of the scheme while continuing to bear the brunt and butt of the massive joke over what is not, by results, a laughing matter for the majority of us.
