War is most definitely not a huge fucking waste of time when the money rolls in like it does for the war profiteers. Naturally, they can't sell their product if the truth is told, so we're treated to a bunch of rah-rah patriotism and militarism (including the just-concluded Glorious Fourth) to make the marketing easier. Sure, it sucks if you or a loved one is killed, maimed, disfigured, or driven mad, but the wehrmacht is hungry for omelettes, and you're the eggs. Somebody's going to have to be broken.
