PETA demands Paul, the World Cup-predicting octopus, be set free
Those bastards.

He is like Sylvia Browne with tentacles, an octopus with an uncanny knack for predicting the outcomes of international soccer matches.

But according to the animal rights group PETA, Paul the Octopus, who resides at the Sea Life aquarium in Oberhausen, Germany, should be set free.

1. After yesterday's match, PETA better get to him quick, before the Germans do
He predicted Spain over Germany. Spain won. German supporters are not happy and are hungry for calamari schnitzel.

4. It's not captivity now, it's protective custody
Anyway, since Paul is such a talker, they should ask him if he wants to leave...

7. Yes, I think Frittierte Calamaristreifen mit Aioli
is high on the Germans list right now.

On a side note, the 1st time I ever had these was years ago at a Spanish restaurant in Germany.
I think this was the one and it looks like they are still on the menu.

5. I just read a report on HuffPo that pissed off fans want to eat the thing.
He's better off at the aquarium for the time being. Wonder if he can do lottery numbers?

6. Needlcast Demands PETA Shut the Hell up
Equally effective!

This octopus was born in the aquarium and has lived it's whole life there. It wouldn't last a week in the wild.
