Montana GOP platform seeks to criminalize 'homosexual acts'
Source: Think Progress

Andy Towle is reporting that like the Texas GOP, the Montana Republican Party has adopted a platform that would criminalize “homosexual acts”:

Homosexual Acts

We support the clear will of the people of Montana expressed by legislation to keep homosexual acts illegal.

Ironically, the platform uses some form of the word “constitutional” at least 10 times and even argues that constitutionality should be decided by the states. But the Montana Supreme Court struck down the State’s sodomy law in 1997 and ruled that it violated the constitutional right to privacy.

1. It isn't ironic. They consider it no more a "private matter" than murder.
They would say "crime is crime," and it's like drug abuse and that there are no "victimless crimes" because society pays. I of course disagree but that's what we're dealing with. I am pleased they are being forthright in their politics instead of concealing them.

3. I have to think one of two things:
Either these people have the saddest, most pathetic marital relations, or their porn collection would make Dan Savage run screaming for the hills.

5. What exactly are "homosexual acts"? And how does that differ from heterosexual acts?
