You realize that sometimes the other side is against someone because they aren't on 'their' team, doesn't mean they are good doesn't mean they are bad just means to whomever that person seems/appears to be the 'enemy' and they are always against the enemy of their side whoever that is, might be, or appears to be.

Just because someone you don't like is against something doesn't mean it's right, and just because they're for something doesn't make it wrong. Dick Cheney is on the right side of gay marriage--does that mean all those of us who think Cheney is evil need to oppose gay marriage now?

We need to always look critically at various issues and decide on our own what's the right and consistent position, not just randomly stake something out to oppose the other guy.
