How bad has the economy become?
http://www.avpress.com

A front page article of the Lancaster, California AV Press anticipates, China opening an assembly plant in Lancaster to produce electric cars. Apparently China feels that they can find cheaper labor in this country. Lancaster, and the Antelope Valley, is a hotbed of conservative Republicans and the Democratic Party doesn't stand a chance here. Happily, this is only a small corner of L. A. County and Los Angeles keeps the Democrats in the majority.

1. Chinese company trying to start car plant in Mobile Al too.
The interesting thing about it is they apparently can take advantage of a law that says any people from
china they hire to work over here get automatic citizenship.

6. Wish I was.
Plus, there are all sorts of negative stories about the guy from China who is trying to get the plant started here. Si I had been following the stories as the popped up in the Mobile newspaper.

2. It's not just the cost of labor as their deciding factor.
You also have to consider the cost of shipping and location of the components that will be used to build the product.

5. aren't there still some laws that require a certain percentage of an auto to be made here
if it's being sold here? Thus the Toyota and Honda plants around.
