McChrystal article author warns of "push back" through CNN

I've just spoken to Michael Hastings, author of the Rolling Stone piece that took down Gen. Stanley McChrystal, and he's now reporting that certain parties are engineering a push back by way of such reliable conduits as Barbara Starr at CNN.

hey dude, the military is about to launch a counterattack against the story. total b.s., of course. they all have lost their jobs, the top pr guy duncan boothby resigned in shame because he fucked up, and now, a week later, they've finally started to grasp for straws. Might make for an interesting blog at huffpo tho if you were so inclined! I'm about to get on a 14 hour flight, so will be out of pocket.

She is the one who kept identifying the 14 year-old Iraqi girl named Abeer al-Janabi, who was raped and murdered by a US soldier as an "Iraqi woman", when she finally reported that story live on CNN. It had been known for months that Abeer was only 14 years-old.

Needless to say Barbara Starr is NOT a reliable conduit for anything except filtered propaganda.
