... and not leave it to Lawrence Wilkerson to put the truth out there.

Powell will come out of this much better if he will just come clean on what he knows, admit he made mistakes, and ask forgiveness --As He Becomes Part Of The Remedy, Instead Of Part Of The Silent Witness Group.

IMHO Powell was screwed over by Bush, and Powell just took it... and he owes it to his country to speak out NOW and not after Bush leaves office.

1. Powell betrayed the troops.
His continued silence puts more blood on his hands.

2. Don't hold your breath
His military and civilian record would be shattered--he isn't going to do that. Instead, he is going to cowardly HOPE AND PRAY that the truth doesn't come out in his lifetime.

3. Powell is nothing but a creation of the DC/GOP myth-making apparattus.

You think he'd actually "come clean" about his complicity in this tragedy?

6. It will never happen.
Powell is "one of them," and one with them. He has betrayed this country; betrayed the public that once trusted and admired him; and betrayed the Constitution he was supposed to uphold. A system and/or individual can only produce that which it is part of, or what is part of it. Turtles will give birth to chickens before Powell will do the right thing.

7. He had his moment and failed miserably
If he didn't speak the truth when it mattered before the war I doubt that he would have the integrity to say anything now. He's a coward, and his inaction has led to many, many deaths. I hope that history records him as such. I am definitely not waiting for Powell to come to the rescue.

10. I hope the posters replying to this OP are wrong, because it would be helpful if he comes forward ..
I think Powell may very well know that this will all end in a huge disaster.

If that is the case, he may be considering an attempt to put space between himself and the coming implosion, by telling the truth about what he knows. A novel concept, but welcome all the same.

12. Most likely, we'll have to wait for his book.
After seeing all the money Tenet is making with his too-late tell-all, Powell might be thinking he needs a bit more for his nest egg.

Not too appetizing a choice, better to just say nothing, right?
